Installation guide

Get TiviPro on
your screen.

Choose your device for the right installation steps. Your TiviPro subscription covers the player. You will need your own compatible playlist and content access.

Public downloads are not open yet.

We are preparing the customer release. This guide explains how installation will work. We have not published a customer installer, store listing or Downloader code.

Check launch status

Fire TV and Fire Stick

Install with Downloader.

These steps are for compatible devices running Fire OS. They will apply when our public Fire OS download is released.

Check your device first.

Fire OS and Vega OS are different systems. Fire TV models running Vega OS cannot use our Android APK. Check your model and software in Settings > My Fire TV > About. We have not released a Vega OS version.

  1. Get Downloader on your Fire TV

From the Fire TV home screen, open Find or Search. Search for Downloader, select the app by AFTVnews and choose Get or Download.

  2. Allow Downloader to install the app

Open Settings > My Fire TV > Developer options > Install unknown apps. Select Downloader and switch its installation permission on. Older Fire OS menus may call this Apps from Unknown Sources. Menu labels vary by device.

    Developer options is missing

Open Settings > My Fire TV > About. Highlight your Fire TV device name and press the remote's Select button seven times. Go back one screen to find Developer options.

ADB debugging is not needed for the Downloader installation route.

  3. Open this guide in Downloader

Open Downloader. On its Home screen, enter this address and choose Go:

    Address to entertiviproplayer.com/install

This opens our installation page. The address itself does not download an app. When we publish a checked Downloader short code here, you will also be able to enter that number in the same field.

  4. Choose the official Fire OS download

Once downloads open, we will add the customer download link to this page. Choose that link in Downloader, then select Install on the Fire TV installation screen and Open when it finishes.

Not available yet: there is currently no customer APK or Downloader code to use.

  5. Sign in and add your playlist

When customer accounts open, use the same TiviPro account as your website subscription. Then add the M3U playlist address or Xtream details supplied by your content provider.

After installation, you can turn Downloader's installation permission off again in Fire TV settings.

Android TV, Google TV and phones

Choose the Android route.

The TV build is in private testing. Android phone validation is still in progress. Public downloads and Google Play listings are not available yet.

  1. When the store release is approved, use the Google Play link published on this page to open the correct TiviPro listing on your device.
  2. Choose Install, then open TiviPro.
  3. Sign in to your TiviPro account and add your own playlist. Any in-app subscription purchase will use the payment options available in that store version.

If we offer a direct Android installer, its device requirements and download link will appear here after release checks. We have not published one yet.

iPhone, iPad and Mac

Apple versions are in development.

We have not published an App Store listing or a public Mac download. We will add the correct links and installation steps here after the Apple releases are approved and tested.

Android APK files and the Fire TV Downloader steps do not install TiviPro on an iPhone, iPad or Mac.

Once customer access opens

Your account. Your playlists.

We plan to connect website subscriptions and supported app versions to one TiviPro account. Use the same email address when signing in on your devices.

The planned offer is ten minutes of actual viewing per account, then £4.99 monthly or £50 yearly, for up to three registered devices. Customer signup and payments are not open yet.

TiviPro does not supply channels, films, series or a content subscription. Playlist availability and viewing rights come from your provider.

Keeping the app up to date

Update from the same source.

For a future store installation, check the same app store for approved updates. For a future direct installation, return to this page in Downloader and use the current compatible customer release.

Install an update over the existing app when the device offers that option. Do not uninstall first: removing the app can also remove its saved playlists and settings. We will publish any release-specific update instructions alongside the download.

Installation help

Before getting stuck.

Where is the Downloader number?

We have not issued one. A Downloader short code is a number that opens a website or download link without typing its full address. We plan to offer a TiviPro code alongside tiviproplayer.com/install. We will publish the number here only after checking that it reaches the signed customer release.

Will an existing website subscription work in the app?

Website payments are not open yet. Our planned account system will let supported app versions recognise an existing TiviPro subscription. Once this is live, sign in with the same account and check its subscription status before making another purchase.

The Fire TV says the app cannot be installed

Check that the device runs Fire OS, that it has free storage and that Downloader has installation permission. Vega OS needs a different app build. Once downloads open, use only the release marked for your device on this page. If installation still fails, send us the exact error and your device model.

Does this work on every smart TV?

No. A television being smart does not mean it runs Android TV or Fire OS. Samsung Tizen, LG webOS, Roku and Vega OS do not install our Android APK. We have not released builds for those systems.
